I bought this so I could write easier whilst on the sofa. It works really well. The beads on the back mould around your legs, so it doesn't matter how you sit, the lap desk still stays straight. For someone like myself with muscle issues, this is comfortable.

I bought these for my kids in grade school. They are exactly what I wanted, but I'm not sure they are for everyone. They are pretty small. I like that they are lightweight. They have a soft padding underneath that seems like it's filled with bean bags filling. It also has a nice little handle to carry it. I like the slot to put a pencil or pen, but sometimes the kids try to write over it. I have to remind them not to do that. We don't use them for laptops. We just use them for doing homework or just a hard surface to write on. So, I'm not sure how they do with heat. But these are perfect for our purposes. I even bought one to put in my car, for when I need to write something. I would recommend if you're looking for something small, lightweight and simple. They are great for kids

I’ve never used a “lap stand” before and I wanted to get one as I was looking for a solution where I could use my gaming laptop in bed. Then I came across this one and since it wasn’t too expensive I ordered one - I got it for 17 euros. I am very happy with it, reason being - the bottom is very plush and soft. It’s very comfortable using on your lap - the plastic surface on top is very sturdy - my laptop doesn’t slip or slide on the plastic surface and I can confirm that it can be used with 14 inch laptops as well. - very compact and light making it easy to store it away after using it. If you are looking for one which also has place to put your mouse as well, then this is not the one as it is too small for that. I’ve been using it daily for the past 4 days and I am very happy with it. Would recommend it.
