The cushions are foam rather than styrofoam beads like the cheap one I tried before this. This should last unlike my previous one that started leaking beads after a couple of months. This one is heavy, but it's sturdy enough for a bigger laptop, and it doesn't seem that heavy when using the carrying strap. I've had no issue with the magnet, it holds fine. This was a good purchase. I'm really happy with the adjustability and style. The fabric is nice and the cushions are firm yet comfortable. I think it's a bit pricey but I didn't want plastic again. I'm happy and I would recommend it to anyone.
